heartbreaking

There are no words today.

I will hug my kids and especially my sweetheart a little closer today. Every time a school shooting occurs,  a somber shadow of the past seems to loom a little larger in our house. In our helplessness, we pray for those families that have been affected by this horrible tragedy in Connecticut.

Oh Jenn, I thought about you and John when I heard the news. I've been crying on and off all day- which is not exactly me-ish.

I'd blame it on pregnancy hormones, but I don't have issues with those either.

I just can't stop thinking about all of those babes. Beautiful sweet innocent babes.

And under it all this seething, burning fury making it impossible to get anything in my heart and head under control.

I had no idea about your husbands experience but thank you for sharing the link to that article. It brings the reality of the event even closer to home in realizing just how easily it could have been someone you know and care about that was so brutally taken from this world.

I think of you guys and Columbine too often these days. It is heartbreaking every time. It needs to stop! Those were babies that died today. Babies! I ache for their families.
